From Chris Kunkel, our 2008-2009 BICS President:

Welcome to our 46th Season!  I hope you are having a good summer and are making plans to sing with us this fall.  We are looking forward to rehearsals which begin Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Calder Baptist Church in Beaumont.

The BICS Board has been busy since our last concert, and I am happy to announce the following:
Works to be Performed:
Beethoven- Mass in C &
Ralph Manuel - Alleluia

Conductor: Rev. Dr. Don Ball
Pre-registration: Saturday, July 19, 2008 at St. Jude Catholic Church (following board meeting)

Rehearsal begin: Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Calder Baptist Church

Performance Date: Sunday, Nov.9, 2008- 3:00pm
First United Methodist Church, Downtown Beaumont

We are excited about this season's plans and are looking forward to your participation.  If you are unable to come to early registration on July 19, registration will also be at 2:00pm prior to our August 10 and 17 rehearsals.  Please consider inviting a friend to share in this wonderful experience of making beautiful music.  This will indeed be a very exciting and wonderful season that you will not want to miss!

Attention Ladies: BICS mail orders the ladies' performance attire, which must be purchased at time of registration. We encourage ladies who need dresses to pre-register and order dresses in July!  Your cost for the dress is $49 (an additional $20 is subsidized by the BICS Board of Directors).  This amount is due at registration along with payment for your music and dues.  New members needing different payment arrangements should contact Chris Kunkel (409-833-5792) before the first rehearsal.

USHERS: Ushers are needed for the Concert in November.  If you know someone who would like to volunteer to be an usher, please see House Chair Bernie Brown.
